Brown Fused Alumina Brown Aluminum Oxide BFA Price
Brown fused alumina /Brown aluminum oxide is made of high-quality bauxite, anthracite, and iron filings. It is cooled and smelted at a high temperature by more than 2000 degrees in an electric arc. It is crushed and shaped by a jaw crusher and a ball mill. After magnetic separation, the sieve is divided into various kinds. Its compact texture, high hardness, suitable for the manufacture of ceramics, grinding of high tensile metal and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc., can also be used to manufacture advanced refractory materials.
Brown aluminum oxide is a generally used material in manufacturing abrasive products and refractory products. It is not so hard as WA grain. The products made from brown fused alumina is very suitable for tough task like large sandblasting outdoor, rough grinding work, etc. Meanwhile, it is a very moderately cost-efficient material comparing with WA.

What is the difference between Tilting furnace melted BFA and Fixing furnace melted BFA/Ball milling and Barmac process?
1. Tilting furnace process affects SiO2 content, The SiO2 <1% with BFA made by Tilting furnace, conventional fixed furnace SiO2 <1.5%
2. Barmac affects the density, the Barmac crushed grain is of a rounder shape and the density is greater than that of the ball milling BFA.
3. The Tilting furnace made BFA has high Al2O3 content
4. The brown corundum produced by the dumping furnace process has good toughness and is more suitable for abrasive products.
Applications:
Brown fused alumina is widely used as a raw material in many industries:
1. F-grit for bonded abrasives such as resin bonded grinding wheels, vitrified grinding wheels
2. P-grit for coated abrasives such as sandpaper, sanding belts
3. Blasting media, metal preparation
4. Laminates, coatings, lapping, polishing
5. Anti-slip applications like floor, ceramics, auto brake parts
