FRALCO Tabular Alumina Balls Tabular alumina balls are high-density, fully shrunk, coarse crystalline alpha aluminas that have been converted to the corundum form. Tabular alumina is produced by sintering ball-formed calcined alumina at a temperature just under the 3704°F (2040°C) fusion point of aluminium oxide. These tabular alumina balls are then crushed, graded or screened, and ground to a wide range of granular or powdered particle size distributions. Alumina balls and gravels are well used for liquid aluminium filtration. Different alloy filtration application is used. The major media type includes: 1XXX, 3XXX, 8XXX, alloys filtration media; 2XXX, 7XXX hard alloy filtration media; 5XXX, 6XXX, alloy filtration media; high purity filtration media, etc. The flow rate of deep bed filter can range from 2t/h to 90t/h. Advantages Good resistance to thermal and Excellent abrasion resistance Appearance White crystalline granules or powder Depending on requirements, ball sizes are produced from 1/8 to 1 inch (tolerance ± 1 mm) , aluminum gravels are produced from 3-6mesh to 7-14mesh according to different application. Regenerative burner bed applications Deep bed molten aluminium filtration Heat exchange media
