    Commerce Department: China's rare earth exporting quotas will not dramatically change

    2011 application program of exporting quota of rare earth and other minerals has started, rare earth export volume and export value have been no clear requirements. For the most concerned export quotas volume and distribution, it will release according to the formula for quota allocation, after the CCCMC China (hereinafter referred to Minmetals Chamber of Commerce) review submitted comments on December 1, and after the Ministry of Commerce approval.
    Officers of Commerce Department said, reduction range of 2010 China's rare earth export quota will be not more than 30%. However, the Ministry of Commerce immediately denied the news. Chinese Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Sun Zhenyu, the ambassador, also said China's rare earth export quotas will not dramatically change.
