Kunming Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd succeeded in rolling China’s thinnest stainless steel composite plate coil

(China Aluminum Network) Recently Kunming Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd succeeded in rolled thin stainless steel composite plate coil only with 1.5mm thickness, which set a record of “ thinnest”. The demand on the newly-produced product is strong and the prospect is bright.
Stainless steel composite plate coil boasts the merits of stainless steel and carbon steel, which can effectively reduce cost and is a new kind of material characterized “ energy-saving and environment-friendly”.
Kunming Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd now is the only manufacturer producing hot-rolling stainless steel composite plate coil. The state development and reform commission and Yunnan provincial Science and Technology Agency have supported the project.
It is said that the successful development of domestic thinnest stainless steel composite plate coil is one of the company’s measures to transform production way, adjust structure and enhance enterprise competitiveness
