National backbone alumina enterprises forum held in Beijing

China Aluminum Network reported that on October 15th, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized and held a forum about national backbone alumina manufacturing enterprises in Beijing.

It was learned that the forum aimed to learn safe production of alumina factories and safety of red mud disposal site. Totally 14 domestic key alumina delegates from  Aluminium Corporation of China and its affiliated alumina enterprises, Xinfa Group, Shandong Weiqiao, Nanshan Group, East Hope Group and others introduced their safety production and experience in comprehensive usage of red mud. Meanwhile, the delegates put forward measures and suggestions for further development of scientific research, strengthening cooperation and promoting comprehensive use of red mud. Kang Yi, president of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association attended the forum and delivered a speech. Leaders from State Administration of Work Safety, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Environmental Protection also attended the forum and said that relevant government departments paid great attention on the safety of red mud disposal site, and was working on the development of relevant measures. They spoke highly of this forum. Wen Xianjun, vice-president of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association presided the meeting.
