China invests 833 billion Yuan in Energy-saving & Emission-reduction

(China Aluminum Network) Xie Zhenhua, Deputy Director of National Development and Reform Committee revealed that our central government invested large amount in energy saving and emission-reduction field. In order to fulfill our goal of 20% reduction in consumption of GDP from 2006 to 2010, our central government invested 1285 billion Yuan in the first four years; and it is said that 833 billion Yuan in this year. It accounts about 10 percent or 15 percent in national energy-saving investment. After “Eleventh-Five Year Plan” finished, our country would save 600 million tons standard coal, and it is equal that the CO2 emission has been lowered to 1.5 billion tons.
