    Output of ten kinds of nonferrous metals will be controlled within 41,000,000 tons till 2015

    September 8, 2010, project responsible person said nonferrous metals 12th Five-Year Plan ( 2011-2015) put forward by China Nonferrous Metals Industrial Association showed that by the end of 2015, China will control the production of ten kinds of ten nonferrous metals within 41,000,000 tons. The ten kinds of nonferrous metals cover refined copper, electrolytic aluminum, lead, zinc and etc. China will completely eliminate backward productive capacity according to industrial technology policies.


    Till 2015, top ten-enterprise production like copper, aluminum, Lead, Zinc, etc takes up respectively 90%, 90%,70% and 70% of national total output.


    The official said in the H1 Chinese metallurgy industry concentrated on investing in Eastern, Central and South China and focused on building large industrial bases in coastal areas.


    According to Statistic Bureau, in the H1 2010, China’s metallurgical industry completed fixed capital investment of 279.3 billion yuan, among which steel & iron industry finished 153.8 billion yuan and nonferrous metals completed 125.5 billion yuan.
