    Chalco Invests to Construct 1 Million Ton Electrolyze Aluminium Project in Saudi Arabia

    Chalco, MMC and SBG comes to an agreement that they will invest in constructing electrolyze aluminium plant with annual production of 1 million ton and establish jointed company in Saudi Arabia. Chalco and SBG has signed general cooperation agreement. The Saudi Arabia government investment bureau has issued license for this project.


     

    According to the agreement, the entire project includes carbon project with overall investment of about USD 3 billion, and Chalco is the biggest shareholder. The project is expected to adopt 350kA electrolyze aluminium carbon technology exclusively owned by Chalco. It is an consensus by three parties that Chalco will provide technology, design, equipments, project management and production know-how for the jointed project and will be responsible for sales.
