Aluminium Foundry in Arabia

The groups Chalco (China), Binladin (Saudi Arabia) and Mmc (Malesia) have started a project for the construction of an aluminium foundry.

The 1-billion ton and 3-billion dollar plant is to be build in Arabia along with a 1860-Mw power plant.

In the Saudi capital, Riyad, a 620,000-ton foundry is also expected to be built by Ma'aden and Alcan (now merged into Rio tinto).
