Chalco Guizhou Branch Launches 7005 Aluminum Alloy Round Ingot

Guizhou Branch of Aluminum Corp of China recently announced it has succeeded in developing 7005 large-size aluminum alloy round ingot, marking a major breakthrough for the producer.

Utilizing air curtain casting production line, molten aluminum purification technologies and melting & casting technologies, Guizhou Branch developed deformed aluminum alloy round ingot with large size at the end of October.

Currently, 90% of China's 7500 hard aluminum alloy round ingot is imported given the small domestic output and under-developed technologies.

About 40 tons of qualified 7005 aluminum alloy 380 round ingot has been produced, marking a significant improvement in aluminum alloy melting and casting technologies and paves the way for more high quality aluminum alloy product.
