Cancellation of export rebates will influence nonferrous metals prices for a short-term. For the longer term,  the measure will  stimulate the upgrading of nonferrous products. Therefore cancellation of export rebates is undoubtedly positive.

To influence nonferrous metals prices in short term.
To promote the upgrading of nonferrous metals products

As a result of cancellation of export rebates last week, several listed nonferrous metals companies said this measure wouldn’t generate impact on their achievements, because most companies were engaged in nonferrous metals processing and domestic trade. Foreign trade business enjoyed a little market share. On the contrary, cancellation of export rebates on some nonferrous goods is in favor of reducing the exports of products with low added value and stimulating the upgrading of domestic exports.

Accordingly, the cancellation of exports rebates on some products, to a great extent, will stimulate products upgrading of nonferrous companies.
