Taiwan-based aluminum capacitor makers have completed price negotiations for the third quarter of 2010 and quotes for some products are expected to be adjusted between the second and third quarters due to persisting supply shortages, according to industry sources.
Current demand for aluminum and solid capacitors remains strong with the trend likely to stretch to the third quarter, said the sources, noting that major suppliers, including Lelon Electronics and Taiwan Chinsan Electronic, have drawn up plans to ramp up solid capacitor production.
