During the Expo 2010, Chen Jinyan, president of the Asia-Pacific area,Alcoa, on present in Tencent guest room. He thought that enterprise social responsibility is not just a promise but required deeds. He said, Expo 2010 would bring many new concept, which will accelerate Chinese economic development and encourage more investment in environmental protection.
Talking on Chinese aluminium market, he thinks the market is undergoing upwards. China represents more than 50% of global growth opportunity, over 30% of aluminum production and consumption. Hereby chinese aluminum industry plays an essential role in global market. As for this, Alcoa wont like to see some changes in Chinese aluminum industry exhibitions, but hopes better. Currently the average consumption per person in UAS and Japan comes up to 35 Kg, while in China is 8 Kg. There is great potential in chinese market.
