    May 17, communist member and vice manager of Chinalco (Aluminum Corporation of China), Lv Youqing met the delegation of Australian political relations council at the headquarter of Chinalco.


    Mr. Lv introduced to the guests on the company’s business sectors and copperation with Australia. He said through faithful and responsible overseas operations, Chinalco had established a good image in the sectors of international nonferrous metals and mineral resources. Under the process of promoting Australian projects, Chinalco effectively implement social responsibility and played an active and essential role in environmental protection, comprehensive use of resources and helping the development of indigenous communities. The common responsibility for both parties is to exploit and use resource, promote economic development, advance social progress. He expressed that both parties should fully perform respective advantages, benefit mutually and win-win and work together to create a better future.


    The delegation chairman of Australian political relations council and Western Australia councilor,Joe Francis said investment from Chinalco and other chinese enterprises had effectively promoted local economic development, improved living standards. Australia boasts more area but with less population, which facilitates complementary development with China. The prospect is bright for mutual development.
