The prices of major nonferrous metals in Q1 rose in Sichuan province

May 4, Sichuan Provincial Economic Commission announced the major products prices of nonferrous metals in the first quarter in Sichuan province rose. There was a considerable increase of economic efficiency of enterprises.
By the end of March, Sichuan produced 190,000 tons of 10 kinds of common non-ferrous metals, increased by 21.76% compared with the same period of last year. Among these, electrolytic aluminium was 127,900 tons with an increase of 16.97%. The important non-ferrous metal mineral products(Metal ) also grew largely. For example, copper core which contained copper was 18,200 tons, increased by 31.46%. Zinc ore with zinc was 68,200 tons, increased by 120.05% compared with the corresponding period of last year. Meanwhile, the gold was 9360 tons, increased by 16.62%. Polysilicon was 673 tons, increased by 108.52%.

The prices of major products rose. For example, electrolytic aluminum price was 16,100 yuan/ton, increased about 2100 yuan; the spot prices of copper, lead and zinc were respectively 58200yuan/ton, 12600 yuan/ton, 12400 yuan/ton, increased respectively 36200 yuan, 1300yuan and 1100yuan compared with the same period of last year. In the first quarter, the sales income of the whole province’s nonferrous metals was 12.157 billion yuan, increased by 65.48% compared with the same period of last year. Profits and taxes was 576 million yuan, increased by 50.01%, the total profit after profit balanced out loss was 286 million yuan, increased by 55.19%.

Due to impact of seasonal sales in Q1, rate of production and marketing was 92.23%, decreased by 1.00% compared with the same period of last year. With the upcoming of consumer season, the prices of major nonferrous metals will continue to rise, and it is optimistic about the overall development.
