According to the latest statistics by National Statistic Bureau, China alumina output increase rate tends to be stable.

China alumina output increases 41.2% to 1,718,400 ton in October and 49.7% to 16,115,500 ton from Jan. to Oct. over the same period of last year. Primary output increases 34.6% to 10,030,100 ton from Jan. to Oct. compared with the same period last year.

Due to rapid growth of China alumina production, Chinese suppliers try to adjust sales strategy to protect alumina price from falling too fast.

Though production increase rate is still on the high side, increase rate over 50% is less than that during May-Aug. period. In the past three months, alumina output is said to reach over 20 million ton, which indicates the end of new project operation storm starting from Mid-2006.
