According to the latest statistics by China Statistics Bureau, China aluminum products output keeps increasing in September, and increases 450,000 ton by 58% to 1.223 million ton compared with the same period of last year.
The total output of 2007 always maintains a growth rate of over 40%, even higher than 36.9% in 2006. The output from Jan. to Sep. reaches 8,398,000 ton, rising 42.8% over the same period of a year ago.
Due to 15% tax for primary aluminum charged by the government, aluminum products export is on the high side in the first half year, while it falls rapidly since the government abolished a series of export drawback for aluminum products in early July.
The monthly output statistics released by National Statistic Bureau doesn’t show decreasing but accelerating trend of aluminum products output after the implement of export drawback.
