China 2007 Aluminum Output to Rise 22 Pct, Copper up 10 Pct

SHANGHAI (XFN-ASIA) - China's aluminum output in 2007 will rise around 22 pct to 11.5 mln tons and copper production will hit 3.2 mln tons, up around 10 pct from a year earlier, an industry official said.

Yan Bangsong, vice chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemical Importers & Exporters, made the forecasts at an industry conference here.
