Tumbling is a process where the parts to be finished are placed in a container and rolled or vibrated so that they rub against each other and/or some sort of abrasive or polishing media.

How much time the tumbling takes?

Usually, the process of tumbling will take about 2-4 hours. It is quite time-consuming, meanwhile, the results are tend to be influenced by the surface, shape, finish of the products as well as the rotating speed, workpiece, loadage of the tumblers. So , if the finish requirements of the products can be ignored, chemical polishing are recommended.   

How to choose tumbling solution?

To avoid the erosion of the products, neutral solution is suggested in this process. Usually, gleditsia water and small amount of emulsifier is available.
