Chinalco urges Zunyi alumina project

The construction of Chinalco Zunyi Alumina Company is processed smoothly on schedule.

This Chinalco's alumina project is located in Zunyi Town with an investment of 4.7billion yuan and covers an area of 300 hectares. It is established the project will explore 1.7 million tons bauxite and output 800,000tons of alumina annually.

After the project is launched, it will yield an annual sales income of 1.7billion yuan.

In order to be geared to international standards, the project will adopt Bayer Process Stripping technology with low energy consumption and high efficiency. The most advanced and most reliable equipments with best environmental performance will be brought in.

The construction of the project is in strict accordance with the national industrial policies and development requirements of circular economy. It will give full play to the bauxite resource advantages of Zunyi province, and boost the economic development of the local place.

The project will be launched next year in June.
