Xinghe Aluminum Company Limited recently started production at 50,000 tonne of aluminum foil production facility in the region's Baise City.
The reported said that a total of CNY 580 million was invested in the construction of the facility which started in June of 2009.
Mr Zhang employee of Xinghe said that "Our products will mainly be sold on the domestic market. We decided to build the facility because we are positive about the country's aluminum foil demand in the future and currently there is a limited number of aluminum foil producers in China."
He said that at present, China has an annual aluminum foil production capacity of 1.3 million tonnes. China's major aluminum foil producing regions are the provinces of Guangdong and Jiangsu.
