Key projects of Western Development--Hua Yin alumina project

Fujian Huayin Aluminium Co., Ltd.(founded in 1993), is a jointed-venture enterprise of Guangxi Investment Group, Minmetals Aluminum Co., Ltd. and Chinalco, with the share-holding of 34%¡¢33%¡¢33% respectively. It is also a key project of Western Development, conducting mining and alumina production.

Since its establishment in Feb 20, 2003, the company keeps extending the production capacity. May 2005, the first-stage Hua Yin alumina project was approved by the National Development and Reform Committee and launched in June. Till Dec 2007, the production line of 400,000tons annual production line was completed.

It sets a good example for other projects of Western Development.
