China's Breakthough in Ultra-lightweight Aluminum Wheel Technology

The research data shows that: If the quality of automotive vehicle reduced by 10%, the fuel efficiency can be increased by 6% -8%; meanwhile the 10% reduction in rolling resistance can increase the fuel efficiency by 3%. According to the European Aluminum Association's data the reducing vehicle weight of 100 kg each, can save 0.6 liters of fuel every 100 km.

The experts pointed out that if the ultra-lightweight aluminum wheel technology of Huatai Aluminum Wheel Co., Ltd. can be adopted widely, it will enable China's aluminum wheel industry to increase 25% productivity, and cut the cost by 25%. In terms of China's current annual output of 80 million aluminum wheels, the new technology will save 20 million tons of aluminum material, worth 3 billion yuan.
