Chinalco forges links with power utilities

China Mining reported that Chinalco signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Huadian Corporation on September 16h 2009.
It is the major measure for Chinalco to implement China's plan for adjusting and rejuvenating the nonferrous metals which was published earlier 2009.
Chinalco is the largest production, processing and trading company of nonferrous metals in China, the second largest alumina producer and the third largest electrolytic aluminum supplier in the world. It consumes about 66.8 billion KWH of electricity every year.
CHC is one of the 5 state founded power generation enterprises in China. By the end of 2008, the company reached installed capacity of 69.0196 million KWH located in 25 provinces, cities and regions throughout China. The company generated 290 billion KWH of power in 2008. Both sides expect get advantages from the agreement.
