In August, the output of primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) increased 5% MoM, but decreased 2.3% YoY. Zhou Weijiang of Yinhe Futures Research Center indicated that the situation of surplus aluminum production capacity will last for a period of time, and it is more obvious than other non-ferrous metals. However, the situation is within the market expectation, the key point is whether the market can consume the surplus capacity or not.
According to the data of the real estate in August, the housing sales area increased by 42.9% to 76.6102 million square meters, 5.8% more than the last 7 months. But this statistics is still lower than the 94.6415 million square meters of June.
Zhou added: Different from the expectation, the data of new house sales area is not very satisfactory, while, it is predicted that the situation will take a turn for the better in September.
The insiders said that the consumption of aluminum will improve in October, but the change will take on in Q4.
