    Aluminum stockpiles in Shanghai rise to highest in 5 months

    The Shanghai Futures Exchange as saying that aluminum stockpiles expanded for a 7th week to the highest level in 5 months.


    Stockpiles of aluminum gained 2,308 tonnes or 1.3% from the previous week, to 180,441 tonnes based on a survey of 11 warehouses monitored by the exchange. This is the highest level since the week ended March 5th.


    The exchange said that inventories of copper in Shanghai increased 1,787 tonnes to 51,135 tonnes this week based on a survey of 5 exchange monitored warehouses.


    According to the report, zinc stockpiles climbed 1,291 tonnes to 102,269 tonnes based on a survey of 7 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdong and Hangzhou.


    The exchange said that rubber inventories expanded 7,441 tonnes to 56,134 tonnes based on a survey of 10 warehouses in Shanghai, Shandong, Yunnan, Hainan and Tianjin.
