In order to deal with the decrease of the aluminum demand, the Century Aluminum reduced its production. It leads to the consecutive losses of the company, especially the sales of the company, which has dipped more than 65%. The Century Aluminum, whose headquarter is in Monterey, California, has suffered 33.9 million dollar in Q2, the CEO of the company claimed that the situation of certain places and department is ameliorating. However, the aluminum industry must extend its demand, in order to achieve the balance of the global market. Since the recession of last year, the Century has reduced production capacity in the plants of Ravenswood, West Virginia and Hawesville.
