Chalco: expected lose for low demand

(July 27) Chalco notices that the performance of the H1 is expected to decrease because the low demand for aluminum in real estate and automobile industries. And the aluminum price is quite low.
Chalco said that, according to the preliminary estimates, till the end of June this year, the net profit of the medium-term will be at a loss. While, in accordance with the PRC Accounting Standards, the company's mid-year net profit of the last year was 24.1 billion yuan, earnings 0.178 yuan per share.
"Influenced by the international financial crisis, the aluminum demand of the real estate and automotive industries decrease rapidly. The capacity utilization of our company is quite low." Chalco said in a public notice.
The H shares of Chalco closed at 8.82 Hong Kong dollar last Friday rising 14.6 percent.
