State Ministry of Science and Technology News: Recently, high-Secretary Ministry of Science and Technology hosted the feasibility discussion on "a new low-temperature low-voltage electrolytic technology" key project, the project is a National Science and Technology supported plan. "
The project set transform and upgrade of the 200 ~ 300kA Aluminum Series, which accounted for 47.6 percent of total production capacity of electrolytic aluminum in China in 2008 and the realization technological leap and industrial application models of the 400kA Aluminum Series, which has rapidly developed in recent years, achieved complete sets of technology and equipment exports as its goals. this project also carries on original and integrated innovation in the aspects such as the structural design and optimization of the low trough, low-electrolyte system and process, the process of critical stability control, energy-saving areas etc. It developed a new low-temperature low-voltage electrolytic technology which applied in the 200 ~ 300kA and 400kA grade aluminum series. it reduced the DC power of the aluminum production down to 12000kwh / t from 13300kwh / t, saved 10 percent energy, reduced fluorocarbon emissions by 50 percent and provided technology support for the aluminum industrial upgrading
Experts listen to the report on the feasibility of the project, and they all agreed that the project is in line with the "national scientific and technological development and long-term planning framework" and "non-ferrous metals industrial restructuring and revitalization plan", the project's research contributes a lot to exerting scientific and technological support to cope with the international financial crisis, to promote the energy-saving emission reduction, to achieve the revitalization of non-ferrous metals industry.
