Factory prices of 9 pct industrial products down in May

Data released from State Statistics Bureau show that factory price of industrial products down 7.2 pct YOY, purchasing price of raw materials and feul down 10.4 pct.

Among these industrial products, factory price of production materials down 8.8 pct, in which processing industry down 6.2 pct, raw material industry down 10.9 pct and mining industry 21.8 pct. Factory price of consumer goods down 1.9 pct YOY, in which durable consumer goods down 3.0 pct, food 2.8 pct, dress 0.2 pct and daily commodities down 0.8 pct.

Factory price of crude oil witnessed maximum percentage modulation, which was 50.6 pct, kerosene and diesel fuel down 32.0 pct and 11.2 pct in respective, while finished oil up slightly by 4.7 pct.

Among chemical engineering products, factory price of 3-polybutadiene rubber down 37.9 pct, polystyrene down 18.8 pct and polyester filament down 14.4 pct.

Factory price of ferrous metal smelting and casting down 22.4 pct YOY, including large steel material down 28.1 pct, mid-sized steel down 29.0 pct, small steel down 22.8 pct, mid and thick steel sheet down 34.0 pct and wire 31.3 pct. According to the above data, prices of ferrous metal products in general fell in large extent, while this trend is predicted to be slowed down in the next half.

Factory price of nonferrous metal smelting and casting down 23.9 pct YOY, including aluminium down 20.0 pct, lead down 32.4 pct, zinc down 37.4 pct and copper down 38.2 pct.

Factory price of coal mining and washing industry up 5.5 pct, including factory price of raw coal up 5.9 pct.

Among purchasing prices of raw material, fuel and power, the prices of nonferrous metals, fuel power, ferrous metals and chemical materials down j28.7 pct, 14.5 pct, 17.6 pct and 9.8 pct in respective.
