Harbin- Chinalco buys 75% shares of Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd. NELA specializes in aluminum magnesium alloy and provides civil and national defense products. It once supplies aluminum for the first plane, missile, satellite and large ocean ship of China.

The rest 25% share of NELA belongs to the local government.
