China Shares End At 7-Month High Led By Nonferrous Metals Cos

Rising metals prices and hopes for an increase in demand for resources spurred gains in nonferrous metals companies, sending China's shares to a more than seven-month high Tuesday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks both A and B shares, ended up 0.8% at 2439.18, its highest level since Aug. 20, when it settled at 2523.28. The Shenzhen Composite Index rose 0.8% to 2439.18.
