China will enact more policies to provide more support to export-oriented industries, said Jiang Yaoping, vice minister of Chinese Ministry of Commerce, on Friday.
China will focus on improving trade financing environment, and supporting exporters in technology upgrades, said Jiang, without giving details.
The vice minister also said that China has confidence in maintaining its export growth, and that the stimulus packages in other countries have produced many opportunities for export-oriented firms in China.
The State Council announced on Mar. 22 to raise from this month the tax rebate rates for exports of selected textile, iron and steel, nonferrous metal, petrochemical, electronics and light industrial products.
In February, China's exports value experienced a record year-on-year plunge of 25.7% in more than a decade to US$64.9 billion, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
