Market split on reports that China’s SRB extending purchases to cobalt

The Chinese government's State Reserve Bureau (SRB) reportedly is extending its buying to cobalt metal, having previously purchased copper, aluminum and indium, according to two experienced trading sources.
"The Chinese government is contacting major suppliers requesting cobalt metal," a trader with strong links to Asian markets said.
