The steady price of alumina promotes profits of Chalco in the next half year.

Chalco predict the price of domestic alumina will remain stable, and is optimistic about increasing net profits in the next half year.

Yesterday Chalco announced net profit of their company is 6.4 billion Yuan in the first half year decreasing 5%. Chalco is the largest manufacturers of aluminum and alumina in China.

CEO of Chinalco said, ¡° The net profit of our company reduces a little due to price decline of alumina, but we firmly believe price of alumina will remain stable later compared with the first half year.

He also indicates they will continue to look for alumyte recourses both home and abroad to ensure supply of raw material for producing alumina.

Earlier this year, Chalco plans to purchase three aluminum-smelting plants and four aluminum-processing enterprises.
