Taiwan-based aluminum capacitor suppliers are expected to benefit from the recent depreciation of the NT dollar in the near term, and are looking to tap the China market with better price competitiveness, according to industry sources.
an earlier increase in orders to Taiwan makers from Japan was only a short-term effect and has not lead to any lasting relationships with Japan-based companies since the Japanese yen has stabilized, noted the sources.
Prices of aluminum alloy, a basic material for aluminum capacitors, have also stabilized or seen a slight decline recently, which is expected to help Taiwan capacitor suppliers control costs, the sources added.
