Sinosteel ups stake in iron minnow

Chinese state-owned group Sinosteel has moved to third place among the stakeholders in iron ore miner Murchison Metals, with 5.85%. Hedge fund Harbinger Capital has 19.8% and South Korea's Posco 12.3%. Sinosteel is restricted to a maximum 49% holding by the Australian Government. On 4 March 2009 Murchison stock closed $A0.085 higher at $A0.655.
