China Aluminum Co., Ltd.purchases Peru Copper Inc. for USD 0.79 billion

On Aug. 15^th, Journalists was informed that China Aluminum Co., Ltd. successfully purchases Peru Copper Inc. for USD 0.79 billion, holding 91% shares of Peru Copper Inc. It is said that it is the first successful case for China to purchase large foreign copper company listed in three countries.

It may last 2-3 years from mining copper in Toromocho to large-scale production, but the large amount of recourses provide adequate raw materials for the development of copper & aluminum industry of China Aluminum Co., Ltd.
