China Jan 09 Aluminum Output Dn 2.5% On Mo, Dn 13% On Yr

China's primary aluminum output fell 2.5% on the month in January to 922,000 metric tons, according to figures released Monday by the International Aluminum Institute.
 
January's output was 13% below year-ago levels of 1.060 million tons, IAI said.

China's primary aluminum production in 2008 rose 4% to 13.105 million tons, up from 12.588 million tons in 2007, and nearly double 2005's output of 7.806 million tons.
