    Siemens to supply process control systems to Jiangsu Guowei Aluminium

    Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has received an order from Jiangsu Guowei Aluminium Company Ltd., to supply two new process control systems with the associated flatness measurement and coolant sprays technology. The project is scheduled for completion by January 2010.


    The two new Siroll ALU Technological Control Systems will be installed to increase capacity as part of Jiangsu Guowei’s 2008 Investment plan. The process control systems will further improve the quality of the rolled products and improve productivity of the plants with the end result being increased production.


    Jiangsu Guowei Aluminium Co. Ltd is based in the Jiangsu Yixing economic development zone, the economical development alongside the Tai Lake basin. The facility will produce over 30,000 tonnes of high grade, extra wide, aluminum foil per annum which is used for packing foil, air conditioning foil, medicine packing foil and electric cable foil. Its customers are in the domestic goods, electronics, communications and transport sectors, and the packaging and construction industries.
