DJ China SRB To Meet Aluminum Smelters To Finalize Prices-Analyst

China's State Reserve Bureau plans to meet Friday in Beijing with top aluminum smelters to discuss the price at which the bureau will buy the metal from the producers.

The meeting follows a similar move in December by the bureau to shore up its reserves of the light metal.

"The meetingwill be held in Beijing on Friday, and SRB and smelters will discuss (buying) prices," said Wang Changhong, chief aluminum analyst with state-owned metals consultancy Beijing Antaike, adding that he learned about the meeting from market sources.

Other market participants said they had received similar news from aluminum trading houses.

The pricing procedure will be similar to the earlier meeting held in December, Wang said.
