The research department of Macquarie Group said that the price of China’s alumina will be continuously dropping and import amount will also be decreasing because of rapid expansion of domestic alumina capacity. However, the price of alumina won’t drop greatly as the first half year, for China’s enterprises carry our more reasonable production plan and trade strategy.
Macquarie also thinks rapid expansion of aluminum production in China might possibly increase demands for alumina at the same time. Though production cost of alumina increases due to great demand for domestic and import alumyte, there still remains profitable.
