Yunnan starts to store nonferrous metals

Sources from Yunnan Economic Commission indicated yesterday that the first enterprises of commodity storage was signed with 11 companies including Yunnan Tin, Yunnan Copper and Yunnan Aluminium, etc, to store 552000 tons of metals, including aluminium of 18 tons, tin of 30000 tons, zinc of 236000 tons, lead of 104000 tons and copper of 2000 tons.
According to introduction, there were in the 180000 tons of aluminium stored 150000 tons from Yunnan Aluminium, the 30000 tons of tin were tin from Yunnan Tin, 2000 tons of copper from Yunnan Copper. 40000 tons of copper more shall be stored according to the plan.
However, the present price of Yunnan copper has been falling substantially due to low cost of self-supplied refined copper mine.
