    Yunnan nonferrous metals storage finished half

    Companies involved in the plan of Yunnan nonferrous metals storage have been decided, finishing half of the storage target. Yunnan Economic Committee declared on December30 that 552000 tons were purchased in the first block, including alminium of 180000 tons, tin of 30000 tons, zinc of 236000 tons, lead of 104000 tons and copper of 2000 tons.


    According to introduction,150000 tons of the 180000 tons aluminium were purchased from Yunnan Aluminium Corporation, 30000 tons zinc from Yunnan Zinc Holdings, 2000 tons copper from Yunnan Copper Holdings.


    Yunnan issued a regulation on storage of nonferrous metals on December 20, 2008, planning to purchase 1000000 tons of nonferrous metals within 13 months, including copper of 150000 tons, aluminium of 300000 tons, lead of 150000 tons, zinc of 300000 tons and tin of 100000 tons.
