Non-Chalco alumina prices may tumble to $248.69 per ton in January

The average domestic spot price of alumina made by Chinese producers other than the state-owned Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco) may further slide to RMB 1,700 ($248.69) per ton in January, due to slack demand from aluminum smelters, an industry analyst told Interfax on Dec. 29.
