DJ Chalco Oct-Nov Pretax Loss CNY2.05 Bln - Source

Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (ACH) had a pretax loss of CNY2.05 billion in October and November, after it cut prices and output due to weak demand, a person familiar with the matter said Thursday.
The company, known as Chalco, had a CNY1.15 billion pretax loss in October, and a CNY900 million pretax loss in November, said the person, who declined to be named.

Chalco is China's largest alumina producer by output. In November, it said it had idled 4.11 million metric tons, or 38%, of its alumina production capacity because of weak market demand.
