    Shandong Port export of aluminium shrink

    According to Qingdao Customs, Shangdong Port exported unwrought aluminium and aluminium material 322000 tons in the previous months, worth 9.3 billion dollars, down 11.3% and 9% year-on-year respectively.


    Average export price was slightly up, while the volume was fluctuating within a large scale. The average export price in the past 11 months in Shandong was 2903 dollar/ton, up 2.6%. November export shrunk to 12000 tons, down 65% to the lowest point of the year affected by the post of 15% tariff on aluminium alloy export.


    Korea was the largest export market of Shandong. While in the last 11 months, Shandong’s export of aluminium to Korea reduced by 5.3%, accounting for 53.4% of Shandong Port’s total export volume.


    Shandong Port’s export of aluminium of private-owned companies was 182000 tons in the previous 11 months, increased 29.2%, accounting for 56.5% of the total export. Export of collective enterprises and state-owned enterprises were 61000 tons and 51000 tons respectively, down 24.4% and 20.8% respectively.


    Aluminium is the main export product. In the past 11 months, Shandong exported aluminium 182000 tons, down 20.2%, accounting for 56.6% of the total volume; export of aluminium ingot 140000 tons, incrased 7%; export of unwrought aluminium alloy 88000 tons, increased 1-fold.
