    Further adjust import and export tariff from the New Year’s Day

    Under the approval of the State Council, China will further adjust import and export tariff from January 1 next year. The overall tariff level will remain 9.8%, while import and export tariff items will be increased to 7868. By then, the country will be basically fulfilled the commitment made in entering WTO.


    According to introduction, adjust of this time mainly involves most favoured nation tariff, the provisional annual rate, conventional tariff, concessionary rate of tax and tariff items, etc.


    The adjust is meant to promote economic structure and development mode, further expand import of advanced technology, facility and key parts so as to meet the needs of social and economic development in domestic market and enhance resources saving and environment protection.


    Besides, China will go on collecting export tariff on coal, cruel oil, metal sand, iron alloy and steel blank and so on by provisional tax rate, go on collecting special export tariff on fertilizer such as combined fertilizer and the raw materials with tax rate reduced, go on collecting seasonal export tariff on fertilizer such as carbamide, ammonium phosphate and double superphosphate and so on next year.
