Aluminium Corporation of China (Chalco) invested 9.5 billion yuan in Yunnan Copper

According to data from Yunnan Copper, the Group has been cutting performance bonus of all departments.

General Manager Yang Chao of Yunnan Copper (Group) C., Ltd. Indicated that since October, the international copper price has been plunging down to the limit for several times which shrunk the price to nearly a half. This was a big blow to Yunnan nonferrous industry.

On October 30, 2008, Yunnan Government and Chalco reached an agreement on increasing investment in Yunnan Copper in cash of above 10 billion yuan.

¡°Chalco has invested 9.5 billion yuan in Yunnan Copper.¡± Said Feng Shiwei, Chalco has been helping to solve the capital problem of the company.
