Chalco invested in 2b dollars in exploring copper mine in Peru

According to sources, Peru¡¯s Luo Moke Copper Mine owned by Aluminium Corporation of China (Chalco) got the credit finance of 2b dollars from Import And Export Bank of China. After construction, Chalco can reach annual copper capacity of 200000 tons with Peru export of copper products raising by 25%.

Chalco finished purchase of Peru Coppers Company in August last year, totally invested 0.86b dollars. This is Chalco¡¯s largest single-invest project in Peru.

Luo Moke Copper Mine locates in middle Peru, 140 miles from Lima, the capital city. The mine is stored with equivalent metal resources of about 12m tons; the project copper resources accounts for 19% of the total amount of China.
